What Moonlit Tools Reads

• Search performance: clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position, by query, by page, by query and page together, and by country, for a saved date range with a matching comparison range.
• Sitemaps: the sitemaps Search Console knows about.
• URL Inspection: each sync inspects up to five landing pages from the current report and saves the index verdict, rich result verdict and detected schema types.

Permissions Moonlit Tools Needs

• Google's webmasters.readonly scope. Moonlit Tools can read search data. It cannot submit sitemaps, request indexing or change settings.
• You choose the property for each website. GA4 and Search Console are separate connections, and connecting one never changes the other.

What Moonlit Tools Uses It For

• Page demand: a finding on a page with many impressions can rank higher, and the recommendation shows the numbers.
• Keyword opportunities: queries where a page already shows up but rarely gets the click.
• Did the fix work: a finished task saves the affected pages' clicks and impressions, then compares the same window later.
• AI Readiness: a fresh URL Inspection result that shows a page blocked from indexing counts toward AI Readiness. Search performance numbers never change Website Health.

How to Connect

1. Scan your website in Moonlit Tools.
2. Open Settings, choose the website and choose Connect next to Search Console.
3. Sign in with Google, approve read-only access and pick the property.
4. Moonlit Tools runs the first sync and refreshes before a scan when the saved data is more than 12 hours old.
